Jetz-Scrubz Scrubber Sponges = The BEST EVER!

Jetz-Scrubz Scrubber Sponges = THE BEST EVER!Jetz-Scrubz Scrubber Sponges = THE BEST EVER!  Jetz-Scrubz Scrubber Sponges = THE BEST EVER!

A couple years ago my mother-in-law purchased a Jetz-Scrubz sponge as an extra little gift for me at Christmas.  She got it because it was in the shape of an apple and my kitchen theme at the time was apples.

I started using this and oh…my…word!  This has got to be the best scrubber sponge out there!

I used the same sponge for a year.  One WHOLE year of doing dishes with the same sponge.  Sounds gross right? Wouldn’t it collect food and get all stinky and nasty? Well, no. Not really. That is what surprised me the most!

If it ever did start to smell like anything I through it in the dishwasher and it was good as new!  Food just falls off of it as you are cleaning.  It started to finally get a little thin after a year so I went online an bought another one and used that one for a year too!  Granted I do have a dishwasher so if you hand wash your dishes and use it on every single dish then it’ll probably have a shorter life span but not by much!   I use mine to wash all my nonstick things that I don’t put in the dishwasher as well as to scrub food off of things I know the dishwasher wouldn’t never get clean…   I love it because even the more “abrasive” side doesn’t scratch my non-stick pans!

Product Features:

  • Cleans tough stains without scratching delicate pans and dishware
  • Lasts longer than traditional scrubbers
  • Safe to clean in the dishwasher
  • Made in the USA

Get one here!  There are several options available (apple shape, round, rectangle) and the prices range because they are mostly sold by third parties on Amazon.

You will LOVE IT!

Review: Springpad – Free Personal Organizer and Online Notebook!

Springpad Review:

I love anything free that can help me get organized and simplify my life in any way shape or form!  This past week I decided to give Springpad a try. I thought it would be similar to Evernote but it’s actually quite different. I’m so glad I found this site! Springpad is great for keeping track of just about everything!  It is basically an online desk. Keep track of any recipe, product, business, restaurant, file, shopping list, wine, note, contact, movies to see, books to read, albums to buy, bookmark, tasks to do, events, alarms, and more!  Everything is set to private but you have the option to make things public if you want. The site is very easy to navigate through and it’s easy to quickly add or delete any information.

Springpad site has 3 sections: My Stuff, Friends Stuff, and My Apps.

My Stuff is a collection of everything you’ve added to your Springpad.  You can narrow the view a few different ways, if you only want to view notes you click “notes”, if you want to view only bookmarks, you would click “bookmarks” on the right side of the page.

Friends Stuff – If you have friends that use Springpad and share some public stuff (such as a wish list or a list of favorite recipes).

My Apps:  This part of the site is just too awesome not to show you! You use this part of the site to create notebooks and and quickly add things to a “To Be Filed” list that you can file later on.

Calendar:  I made these screen captures before I added anything (for obvious reasons), but you get the idea! It’s very cool! What I’m most impressed with is how you can sync your Springpad events with your Google Calendar!

My Favorite Things:  A few more things I like about Springpad….
  • You can add tags to everything, which makes it very easy to navigate through everything and find what you are looking for.
  • Controlling the privacy of your data is easy to do.
  • There is no limit to how much data you enter.
  • You can send articles directly to Springpad from Google Reader!!
  • You can set alarms.  So, if Starbucks is going to give away free coffee on a specific day at a specific time, you won’t forget about it! (Provided you check your e-mail regularly)
  • When adding a recipe, there is space provided for ingredients, servings, directions, if you have cooked it or if you want to cook it.
  • When you add a Restaurant you can rate, give the average price, the address, website, etc.
If you are interested in signing up, you can sign up for Springpad here!

Organic BumGenius AIO Cloth Diaper Review

Several months ago I was blessed with 5 of these wonderful diapers! I won 8 cloth diapers from Elegant Mommy and I was able to choose the diapers I received. I chose 5 of the One-size Organic BumGenius AIO Diapers and 3 Flip diapers. The reason I chose the Organic AIO’s was because of the snaps.  I prefer cloth diapers with snaps because they generally last longer than the Velcro, and I plan to use these diapers with future children.

The Look & Fit: 5/5 These diapers are so cute! They diapers fit my daughter wonderfully. The elastic is not too tight around her thighs, and the diaper doesn’t appear as big and bulky as some other cloth diapers do.  My daughter is 2 years old though so I’m sure these would appear a little bulky on a smaller baby.

bumGenuis Organic AIO One-Size Cloth Diaper has 4 sizes in 1 - Extra Small, Small, Medium, and Large

Absorbency: 5/5 We have not had a leak yet!  There are several layers sewn into the diaper and they are super absorbent.

Level of Ease: 5/5 These are VERY easy to use. They are all-in-ones so they are the closest you’ll get to a regular disposable diaper. The inserts are sewn into the diaper so there is no stuffing involved at all!

Stains: 3/5 I’m not sure if it is because they are “organic” material or not, but these diapers are unfortunately prone to staining.  They are not bad stains, just visible stains. If you buy these you will have to take extra measures to prevent staining. I’ve read other reviews that say the same thing about the organics.  It’s only on the insert though so I don’t mind. No one sees that part.  I’ll try leaving them out in the sunlight once it gets a little warmer outside, perhaps that will help with some of the stains.

Drying: 4/5 These are known for taking extra time to dry, but I think it’s a pretty fair trade off to have all those absorbent layers! I personally have not noticed a need to dry them for a longer period of time. I think it depends on how dry them.

Overall Rating: 5/5
